First, we confuse management with leadership, and then we assign leadership where there isn't any. So, in reality leadership isn't an organizational construct. It's not like you say, "You come here and you're a leader." No, you arrive here, you've arrived here.
And at most, there is a job title that will tell you what you do, who you are, and where you are.
You have responsibilities, for how many people, for what kind of budget.
But leadership is something else entirely.You can be at the bottom of the pyramid and be the leader of a certain group because people look at you, because people listen to your opinion. Why is that?
As I mentioned earlier, it's about the consistency you show with your values and skills.
Everyone must respect their own values and, of course, they can also change them, take on new ones as part of their personal journey,more than their professional one.
You can't teach a dog new tricks. So you can only change so much.
So bad leadership is basically when leadership doesn't exist at all, or when someone assumes they're a leader and they're not.
Or even if someone misunderstand the word.Leadership is a situation that also lasts over time, that is continuous and that is independent of situations.
If you are in a position to be recognized as a leader, you will be one.
Done in every situation, whether you need to order at a restaurant or playing a sport, or making a business decision.

Can I help you?" Or you behaved assertively.They will remember the one time they needed you and you weren't there or when you behaved inappropriately.
Is that right or wrong?I don't know.But that's how people work.
And so you have to be there when they need you.And this is what distinguishes leadership from "wannabe leadership" or whatever we want to call it.
